This months lovely cover girl is Miss Frankii Wilde. We stumbled upon her photos and immediately knew that we had found our next cover girl!

Frankii is a statuesque blonde with a unique look and an incredible presence in front of the lens. We think you will agree.

Without any further ado, here's "10 Questions with Frankii Wilde"

Q: How did you get started?

Frankii: I was 16 and had just left school, I have the typical old story of not having a very good time at school, i was forever being told how fat and ugly i was. I could never understand them calling me fat as i was an 8-10 bizzare.

When i wet to sixth form college i met two very amazing ladies, and we wanted to be models after we came across 'Dita' and the 'Suicide Girls'. We wanted to be Pin Ups. We each made a mo

It's the year Two-Thousand and Eight. Seriously? Where does the time go? Every time we turn around, it seems like even more time has passed. If this seems like a recurring theme with us, that's because it is.

You see, life has this pesky habit of hauling along merrily, wether you are participating or not. A lot of people like to glom on to the one thing that they are good at, and then sit tight while the wheels spin. Unfortunately, that's a great way to stay in one place, but when it comes to moving forward, it's not really ideal.

RetroKitten isn't the kind of place where you need to sit tight and hope that good things happen. You need to take charge. Upload samples of your work. Post your experience. Let people know who you are and what you do. Most of all, get active. Find people i

It's been a while since our last update. We've haven't been lazing around though. You've probably noticed some pretty large changes to the site. We didn't just change the design. We've been working hard to make the site more user friendly and more useful.

As usual, the this update is sort of piece meal, though it should be completely in place before the end of the first week of January. We do have some great new features to check out and hopefully, the onset of winter (finally) won't interfere too much with community activity.

2008 finds us older, and a little wiser. Maybe not any richer but that isn't why any of us should be here anyway.

Our current Cover Girl is the stunning "Sabrina Fox". We had the good fortune of randomly bumping into her in of all places, a gay bar.

The passage of time can be a little mind-boggling sometimes. When we began RetroKitten back in 2000, we had no idea we'd still be going strong in 2008. Maybe that doesn't sound terribly optimistic to you, but you have to understand this industry. People, Companies and Names come and go.

We were running Windows Servers back in those days, and most of our time was spent just keeping them running. AJAX and Web 2.0 didn't exist and the world hadn't yet faced 9/11 yet. The U.S. Economy was one of the strongest in the world and the future looked bright, or maybe we were just young and optimistic still.

Almost a decade has passed and the world has changed, and we have changed right along with it. Somehow, the neo-conservatives slipped over the wall in the night. In short order, they started

In the fall of 2007, your faithful Editor in Chief, Daniel Goode was out on a Saturday night at one of his favorite gay bars. Something caught his eye. A flash of gorgeous red hair, pale skin. Standing against the bar and laughing with abandon was a vision. There was no hesitation as Daniel plunged into the crowd and approached.

"Excuse me miss, but you are gorgeous. By any chance do you do any modelling?"

She turned and smiled. "As a matter of fact, I do." she said.

"Well then, you may or may not be interested in alternative modelling" he said handing her a RetroKitten business card.

She glanced down, a look of recognition flashing across her face. "You're Daniel Goode!" she exclaimed. "I actually have a profile on RetroKitten!"

The staff at RetroKitten has been incredibly busy this year. You may not have noticed, but we've been making a ton of changes and enhancements to the site to make it faster and easier for you to use. We haven't spent as much time making it pretty. As a member, that's your job. Fortunately, you've been doing it in spades.

This summer, we are proud to feature a new Cover Girl, Athena Fatale! When we first saw Athena's work, we were floored. An incredible mix of exotic beauty and talent, Athena instantly jumped to the head of our list. As it turns out, she's well acqainted with a number of other RetroKitten favorites such as Angela Ryan and Viva Van Story. In fact, Viva is the talented photographer responsible for our gorgeous cover photo of Athena.

Every once in a while, the RetroKitten staff stumbles upon a model that absolutely floors us. Athena Fatale is one of those models. Not only is she a pretty face, but she is quite talented and is a member of the alternative lifestyle community.

This lovely girl graces the current cover of RetroKitten and took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with us.

Q: Our default question, how did you get started?

Athena: My father has always been passionate about photography, so I was literally photographed as soon as I entered this world. (Quite fitting for a Leo, I think!) I grew up in front of and behind my father’s camera, and by the time I was in college I was more interested in taking the photos than being in them. But I started posing for other student projects (in most eve

This past weekend, I was in Detroit to visit some High School Friends. Saturday afternoon, we started talking about things that we should do while in Detroit. After a quick browse of resources on the Internet, we found links to Gigi's Showbar, a staple of the Drag/Female Impersonator world.

We didn't think twice, but immediately made reservations. Boy are we glad that we did.

To start off with. Gigi's is very centrally located in Detroit. There is ample off street parking and they provide a valet service in a fenced in lot. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The first floor (or upstairs) is the main bar and dance area. It's well lit and nicely laid out. The real fun begins if you spend $2 extra dollars for entrance to the Show Bar which is downstairs.

Every RetroKitten issue, the staff selects a member from our constantly growing database that we think had a special or unique style. These members range from seasoned veterans of the modeling scene to wet behind the ears newcomers. There is no specific quality that we look for other than a sense of style and a personality that is captured in their work.

Our Featured Member receives nothing other than a moment in the spot light, and our gratitude for making the scene more interesting. Alternative modeling is a hard hobby, and an even more difficult career choice. Our hats go off to anyone who manages to make a large ripple in our small pond!
